SMASHED UP R/T Empty SMASHED UP R/T

Post by RTCHAS Sun May 22, 2011 6:03 pm

What can I say about this, I'm Glad that the Wife and I are okay and the other driver and passenger are fine as well. BUT... I do all the things to protect my vehicles from scratches, weather, door dings rock chips keep it in the garage never drive with chance of rain in the forecast park all the way in the far corner of the mall lot and then........ some Stupid Jack Wagon makes a Left hand turn right in front of me while I'm doing 40 mph thru a Green light in the outside lane with a truck next to me and no place to go but into Her rear pass door! WTF ! I'm sick ever time I walk into the garage today. Thank God I was Not going fast cause I would have put her in to a Pole and it would have been ugly. Only bright side to it I hated the License plate screw holes from the Dealer tag on the front since day one now I can start fresh maybe a 2011 front bumper drop the ram's head emblem? Guess its time to Mod the exterior now...Any idea's guys Im open to suggestions guys maybe change the stripes, an SRT front lip ? Hood ? Grill upgrade? Com'n Give me your thoughts and pics if you seen something good.

Man taht really blows! Now its time to change her up! I would go with a carbon hood that looks like the SRT8's and a srt8 front end!

I did forget one thing by alot of duct and tape everything up and redneck. All joking aside glad u guys r O.K. .

Glad you guys are ok! Does anyone's insurance cover repairs? Doubt they'll pay for a carbon hood if they do!

Okay I talked to Tony and I feel good about this now he said he will treat my car as if it was his SRT Challenger ! Im going by this week so he can write an estimate on the damages. he said he will do What ever I want with the parts and repairs. I need to get the Police report and contact the girls company to get this thing going. Then its MOD time!

Hmmmm- don't know if you're into it, but I've seen some grille replacements based on the early 70's Barracude that I would love to have a reason to install in my R.T.

Jsut a thought.

that sux Chas.....glad u guys are okay. you can always go old school with a flat black hood, cuda grille (like LcBart suggested) with srt bumper, then get drag radials, hood pins, side exit exhaust, and get that bi-atch down the track!!! just my 2 cents.

Like it, That is the hood I suggested. If I had a Challenger that would be my hood.

Well I went to see Tony @ Collex in Flourtown today, let me tell you he is" the MAN" if you need work after a wreck this is the Man to see. I went thru what I want and he has me feel as if I'm in Good Hands. the shop is very clean and professional too. they work on everything from BMW to Toyota and the write up he gave me was soup to nuts all layed out $5G in damage! Ouch ! Got the Police report it clearly states the Girl was at fault and has the witness statement that backs it up! So they will pay 100% called them today. I don't wish this shit on anyone it is a PITA to make calls and run around to get paper work schedule appointments blah blah blah took me all afternoon and still not done.

Ann wants retro style wheels I think that would be cool but not in the budget right now, so I will keep chrome clads for now. She can buy wheels later cause I would want KDWS tires too or F-1's and Brembo's, then a Blower, boy this is turning into the Pipe dream thread fast! Shocked
