Painting Interior Trim

Ok so I like my interior except for the interior trim, to include the door trim and radio bezel. I just don't like black and silver anymore. So, I'd like to paint everything that is silver either red or black. I think black would blend it in too much but fear red may be pop too much. Also thought about wrapping them in carbon fiber wrap.

So what I'm wondering, has anyone else attempted to paint the trim and if so, is it easy to take them off and put them back on?

I liked how these 08+ models looked inside but i do like mine and how its two toned. The only thing id consider painting is the silver pieces around the gauges and the steering wheels inserts...green of course.

Red would look pretty cool. Just dont want to overdue it or it will look ricey and just too much. Black i think would blend in more and theres already enough black on your car lol. I like where this is going though

I'm thinking red since the stitching is red. Now I just need to figure out how and if they come off.

Make sure you clean the interior pieces real well with either a wax and grease remover or alcohol. Use one wet cloth and one dry cloth making sure to only wipe in one direction. Then scuff the parts with a scotchbrite pad(red or if the plastic starts to look hairy then go with gray) Clean the parts again then apply an adhesion promoter for use with plastics. Now you can apply color to the parts. Good luck with the project and let me know how you make out.

The interior pieces are not that difficult to remove, just take your time and don't force the part.
