Re: No More Hurst Cars
Well its something that was expected! They were not sell much cost was just to high! As far as the programming I think it sucks that Dodge would do that as that would also kill the future of its performance line up as it stops the production of aftermarket parts! Why buy the part if you can't change the tuning to work with the part!
I do not see a company like Diablo being able to pay someone to be able to cack it as the cost would be so high! And to be honest when it come to CMR tuning Diablo while they have the only product out there for the Hemi it lacks real bad when it comes to CMR tuning. Not there fault but the fault of Dodge. that is why you don;t see any other companies that provide a tuning software or the Hemi!
To me its a sad day for dodge! As I sad it kills the after market for Superchargers, turbos, the juice shots, Cams the list goes down all the way to Cold air intakes! Real dumb move for Dodge as they just killed me buying any car from they that I woudl want to do modifications to!

It sounds like those guys don't know what they r supposed to do with a hot rod. It sounds like they just want to drive it and not enjoy it.LcBart wrote:Check out the slugfest going on at Challengertalk including some Chrysler insiders over Chryslers lack of aftermarket support... Re: No More Hurst Cars
It's a shame what is happening to Hurst, I am sad that they will no longer be in existence after the end of July. Even thou my car may be more valuable by their business closing it sure would have been neat to see what they could have designed and built in the next few years. I think Hurst was already struggling with sales being hampered by the economy and the car business debacle over the last two years so this last blow from Chrysler pretty much killed it for them. All the aftermarket builders and part suppliers will be hurt, they will not concentrate their engineering and sales marketing on Mopar and the Hemi, they will survive selling parts and tunes to the Ford and Chevy fags.
The challengertalk thread regarding this matter is a bucket of crap. There is only a few posts that add any value to the discussion and most of the posting members should stop slamming Chrysler and the SRT engineering group. They are working extremely hard to satisfy the new management, provide needed support for customers, and keeping things going in the right direction for business survival.
I do believe that Diablo Sport will succeed in reverse engineering the controllers and will be able to support the Mopar line in the future, just when would be the question. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
