Check Engine Light
HELP!
My car is reading two codes: P0128 & P0430. I read up on them a little and kind of understand what could be wrong. Just not sure what I should do. I cleared the codes and they haven't come back on yet but I'll test it tomorrow. I'll update more later.

sgt. I got this over on the lx forum. PO430
I got this on my 5.7L when it would run in MDS for long periods of time. It turned out to be a small leak in the flex joint by the catalytic. Just some information on what I experienced.

Thanks moddog. I've heard that before. I'm going to check it out. I want to disable MDS anyway.

sorry i didnt respond earlier so not sure if you still got the codes coming on but P0128 is a malfunction of the thermostat - are u running hot? if so, u may need to change t-stat
And P0430 is catalyst system efficiency - like charles said it could be a leak

That happens some time with the 180 deg. stat.
