Weather looks good for this Sat 3/31....Partly cloudy in mid to hi 50's.

The racetrack opens at 9am for Tech Inspection. I'm loading up Fri nite and gonna head out Sat morning around 7:30ish.

Chuck, I'll send you a PM. But, I'm getting on the PA turnpike at Willow Grove. I was thinking we can meet at the Home Depot right off the exit.

Good question.....just called, its a 1/4. Never been there so I figured I might check it out.

Just a ? What do the techs look for when they inspect the cars

they look at your engine dispalcement & mods and depending on what your e.t. will be with mods, they also look at certain OEM equipmnt that should still be in the car. Basically, they want to make sure that you have the proper safety equipment in relation to how heavily you are modded. And, if you run low e.t.'s with power adders then more safety equipment is needed.

you should have no problem since you have natural aspired engine with cam and bolt ons. they really look at power adders like superchargers, turbos, nitrous etc... where u are going to run 11.5's an lower, in which case, like mondo, will need a roll cage or even fire extinguisher, fire suit, etc..

you'll (chuck) just need a helmet with T-shirt & long pants. as you get to lower et's they require helmet & jacket, or full suit when runnin 9's.

They pretty much follow NHRA rules and certain tracks are more stringent.....if they know you are capable of running 10's, but u sand bag to high 11's, you may not pass thru tech since they know that you could go faster....it's mainly precautionary

Well, it's not looking good for tomorrow! 80% of showers tonite into tomorrow afternoon. So, I'm betting E-town will postpone sometime tonite / tomorr morning.

I'll check their board and post......

Of course, it's cool & sunny today and same with Monday......when everyone is working!

It's a real downer.
