Hi, has any one changed the back pads on a SRT car? I need to know if i need to take the shims off the stock
Brembo pads and re-use them on the EBC pads. If so what is the gold colored grease between the shim and the back of the pad?

I've seen a lot of posts over the last couple years that suggests they should be reused. If not, a lot of people have said they will make a LOT of noise. I believe I reused them when I replaced the brakes on my 300 SRT8, but it was 2 years ago and can't quite remember. The gold grease is caliper grease.
