Hey guys,

Sorry for my late response to THIS thread. I've been posting to a different section. The word is out and I have been receiving a ton of positive feedback on this show. A few things I'm working on:

TShirts for volunteers. Last year it was hard to distinguish who was working the show. I'm trying to lock on a sponsor to provide shirts for show volunteers to wear.

Trying to get a moon bounce for the kids. Depends on how much funding I can get.

I still need a food vendor/truck. Suggestions?

I still need vendors. I'd like to get a model car vendor. They're always popular!

I need stuff for door prizes, goodie bags, etc.

We need a photographer. Maybe Mike or Anthony (where have you guys been?).

I NEED a logo ASAP (TREY?)

I may be forgetting a few things, so I'll be back on tomorrow when my mind is clear. Fortunately I do have a lot of free time on my hands so I'll be busy with this show planning. If anyone has hosted a show or know someone that has, I'm open to advice!

Claude, I want a trophy too! They're nice but I don't know how we're doing that. We probably won't have club cars registered but you can register your car in your Mrs' name lol

I'm trying to get a hold of Trey, I left a message letting him know about the show and the guys have been asking about how he's doing. Once Trey hits the photoshop software it won't take long to produce the new club logo so we should be able to have it real soon. I'll post again once I've had a chance to talk to him.

I've got you guys covered. I will be talking with club members on Monday and our meeting in October. I should be able to make it (unfortunately, without the car), but I will make sure we have a presence at the show for you guys!!!

Also, at the Limerick show, make sure to hand a flyer to the DJ to make an announcement for you!!

Thanks Brian for any help you can provide. We are not as versed in car show preparation as you and your club are so any pointers you can provide would be appreciated. I know Tim is looking for food vendors and other attractions to boost the shows appeal per his post above so if you have any contacts or leads that Tim could use please post what you can. We are still up in the air about classes and voting since we had mixed success with how we setup the show last year so any suggestions in this area would surely be a plus. Can't wait for the Limerick show, we're all preying for good weather, as you know all to well it's been a tough year as far as that goes.

What's going on in OC?

Endless Summer Cruisin' Car Show at the inlet in OC, MD, October 7-9. I'm hoping to have the 300M there with the 300M Enthusiast's Club, if I feel the transmission is up to the task. It's relatively flat out there so I don't see why not... took it to work today and she loved every mile.

I'll likely take the Charger to the PAMMG show... show it some appreciation for the abuse of DD duty, lol.

I'll be a floater again this year. I'll be DJing the show and making sure registration goes smoothly. There will also be a group of Marines there again to assist in parking the cars/directing traffic.

Wow Guys I put out a request for names to help and all you want is trophies We are not doing this to "Showcase our Car's" It's about Showing what our club members can do as a whole to help the Marine's with Ball Fund's and Toy's For Tot's let's not lose focus of that you can score all the nice trophies you want else where al thou they won't hold a candle to the cool one's we have!
